“During my first session with Mia, she created a safe and supportive space that allowed me to open up without fear of judgement. Mia held space for me with compassion and presence, which made it easy to be transparent and vulnerable. Mia was also transparent, which helped build trust right away. I left our first session feeling heard and hopeful. I'm looking forward to continuing this work with her.”

Getting to know Mia Morton

My name is Mia Morton, and I am happy to see that you have the courage to begin your journey. Seeking help can be difficult, so I must give you kudos for being so brave. I feel it is important for the client to guide the therapy sessions so that they are empowered to move forward on their own eventually. I provide services that assist my clients with making changes in their thinking patterns and developing new skills to improve their lives. I believe that my patience and understanding of life and its struggles help me support others effectively. I am also a mother of two and a grandmother of five. Additionally, I work with at-risk youth through a nonprofit organization to assist with trauma care. Being a Black woman enhances the empathy and sympathy I have for people of color and the various forms of oppression we face daily.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Mia has absolutely helped me transform my perspective on life. She has helped me in my darkest hour and helped me realize my worth. She has managed to help me get resources to combat my symptoms, provided me an accurate diagnosis, and she has shown me support and understanding the entire time. She gets me and she challenges me. I know I can trust her. I know she will be honest and compassionate. I couldn’t have found a better therapist!
She always takes care of me and represents herself so beautifully! Even when we discuss different ways of life, she's open to me just as I'm open to her and reminds me that core values can transcend every and any generation. She empowers me to be my best, even if it diverts a little!
I finally found my person! I’ve seen 3 different therapists in 4-5 years, and Mia is the one I’ve needed. She’s funny, intelligent, wise, and speaks from her personal experiences as well, so I feel extremely comfortable speaking the truth. She gives phenomenal advice and ways to cope/think when you are having negative feelings or in a rough spot. I’m so thankful I found her.
Mia tells me like it is, with kindness and caring. She is authentic, and an excellent listener. She's really helped me, in just a few sessions.
Mia is very warm and direct with her approach. She challenges me in a respectful way. I look forward to sessions with her. The growth, and healing I have experienced wth her help has been tremendous.
