I’m Michael Annoreno, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Horizon Community Mental Health. I provide therapy for adults 18 and older — whether you’re in your 20s dealing with anxiety or in your 70s navigating grief or life changes. If you have Medi-Cal, you’re fully covered, no cost, no referral needed. We offer therapy by video, in-home, or at our Antelope Valley office, whatever works best for you. You’ll get real support, no judgment, and practical help that actually improves how you feel and function day to day.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is straightforward, honest, and focused on change. I won’t just nod and ask how that makes you feel — I’ll help you get clear on what’s going on, what’s blocking you, and what steps to take next. You don’t need to be in crisis to start, if you’re overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or just tired of doing it alone, we’ll figure it out together. I work with real people with real problems, and I meet you with real care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start by understanding what’s bringing you in, anxiety, panic, grief, stress, trauma, or just feeling stuck. From there, we build a focused plan to reduce symptoms, improve clarity, and get you moving forward again. I use proven approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT skills, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Every session is focused on helping you get unstuck, feel more in control, and move toward the version of life you actually want.
