Welcome. Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can explore challenges, develop new insights, and create meaningful change. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with more than 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relationship concerns. My clinical experience includes treating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, family conflict, stress management, life transitions, substance use disorders, and executive functioning challenges. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Gottman Method interventions for couples. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and develop effective strategies to help you achieve your goals. In addition to my clinical work, I hold an MBA and am currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Psychology and Leadership. This additional training allows me to support professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and students who are navigating career stress, leadership challenges, burnout, and personal growth. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, unresolved trauma, substance use concerns, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, my goal is to help you gain clarity, confidence, and the tools necessary to move forward. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe me as direct, compassionate, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, challenged when appropriate, and supported throughout the process. My goal is not simply to listen, but to help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change in your life. I take a collaborative approach to treatment, meaning we work together to identify your goals and develop a plan that fits your unique needs. Depending on your concerns, I may utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems approaches, or Gottman Method interventions for couples. During our sessions, we will explore both current challenges and the underlying patterns that may be contributing to them. We may examine relationships, family dynamics, past experiences, thought patterns, emotional responses, and behavioral habits that affect your well-being. I believe lasting change occurs when insight is combined with practical action. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, substance use, life transitions, executive functioning difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can be authentic and work toward your goals. My expectation is not that you come to therapy with all the answers. My role is to help you better understand yourself, build resilience, develop effective coping skills, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with understanding your story, identifying your goals, and gaining a clear picture of the challenges that brought you to therapy. During the initial session, I conduct a comprehensive assessment that explores your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, coping strategies, and any mental health or substance use issues that may be impacting your life. After the assessment, we work together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. Depending on your situation, treatment may focus on reducing anxiety, improving relationships, processing trauma, managing depression, addressing substance use concerns, strengthening coping skills, improving communication, or developing healthier thought and behavior patterns. A typical session is conversational, collaborative, and goal-oriented. We will discuss recent events, challenges, successes, and emotional experiences while identifying patterns that may be contributing to distress. I often incorporate evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy when appropriate. My style is both supportive and practical. While I provide a safe space to process difficult emotions and experiences, I also help clients develop actionable strategies they can apply between sessions. Therapy is not simply about talking through problems—it is about gaining insight, building skills, and creating meaningful change. Throughout the process, I regularly review progress with clients to ensure that treatment remains focused on their goals and evolving needs.
