Michael Chalfan, LMFT

Psychotherapist
TX
I view therapy as a genuine human connection where you can be wholly present with no judgment. Therapy is a collaborative process that allows for growth and healing. By working together, we can understand the patterns shaping your life and explore the potential beyond them. It's my goal to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported in every session. Rest assured, whether you're dealing with personal transitions, relationships, trauma, or just seeking a better connection with yourself, I'm here. In my therapy approach, I remember that no two clients are alike, so I adapt my methods accordingly. I use various effective, integrative modalities like Multicultural, Client-Centered, Individual Psychology, Behavioral, and others to cater to your unique needs. Our sessions are conversational, collaborative, and goal-oriented. Amidst the reflections and often laughter, there'll be intention and empathy. I aim to create an atmosphere of healing that's light and effective. Additionally, I use my extensive teaching and public speaking experience to shed light on why you're feeling what you're feeling. A bit about me, before becoming a therapist, I served as a social studies teacher, high school coach, and athlete. Now, in my leisure time, I take pleasure in activities like weightlifting, MMA, shooting hoops, BBQing, traveling, exploring new music, photography, cinematography, and spending time with my loved ones. I hold a Master of Education in Counseling-Psychotherapy from Lamar University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Sam Houston State University. My background in journalism, education, and communication has taught me the power of empathy, storytelling, and understanding the diverse human experience.
