“I began with Michael at another therapy agency, and moved over to Rula with him @ 6 months ago. Michael had helped me deal with my couples' relationship, as well as a couple of physical altercations arising in that relationship. Suffice it to say, Michael has helped my greatly to deal with 'triggers' and manage my emotions. He and I have reached a point where I can drop back from weekly to bi-weekly and see how that will work. Should note that my couples relationship is still a work in progress.”

My approach I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, Cognitive-Based Approaches (CBT & REBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. Through this work, I help clients build self-esteem, resilience, and practical skills for lasting change. My focus I work with children, teens, adults, couples, older adults, and the LGBTQ+ community, specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, relationship challenges, self-esteem, PTSD, substance abuse, and issues related to creativity, sexuality, and gender identity. My communication style I approach communication with warmth, calmness, and respect, creating an environment where clients feel safe and comfortable sharing at their own pace. Trust is at the core of my practice, and I pride myself on fostering strong connections through genuine, judgment-free listening. Above all, I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where clients feel valued and capable of meaningful growth. My journey to mental healthcare My passion for helping others began early. As a teen, I worked with grade school children to build self-esteem, develop identity, and manage emotions.
