Getting to know Michael Doyle

Hi, I’m Michael Doyle, LMFT, and I’m passionate helping people which includes the LGBTQIA community. I specializing in identity work, addiction therapy (I hold a credential in alcohol and drug treatment), anxiety, depression, and stress reduction, culture and trauma. I believe that curiosity is the key to exploring and understanding our behaviors and feelings—by getting curious about our experiences, we can uncover insights and make meaningful changes. I like to bring humor into therapy, making the process feel open and freeing. Information is power, and the more we know about ourselves, the more choices we have to shape our lives. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my Treeing Walker Coonhound, Beulah. She’s a hunting dog from the deep South who came to me after the hurricanes in Louisiana, and she’s been an incredible companion ever since.

I work with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Dual Diagnosis, LGBTQIA+ Issues, Gender Identity, PTSD, Relationship Challenges, Addiction, and Stress Management. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from Affirmative Therapy for LGBTQIA clients, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Coherence Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. Above all, I strive to create a safe, relational, and client-centered space where you can explore and grow at your own pace.
