"Hello, I'm Michael, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. I hold a Master's degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services, along with an Associate of Science degree in Business from Shorter University in Atlanta, Georgia. With years of experience in various community-based settings, including inpatient hospitals, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice.
Over the past 6 to 7 years, I have primarily served as a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director, overseeing programs and providing clinical supervision to a diverse team of therapists, supervisee trainees, Licensed Clinicians, Paraprofessionals, and Certified Peer Specialists. My role has involved managing around 40 to 50 field staff who provide in-home counseling services, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of care.
I specialize in a wide range of areas, including addiction, anger management, antisocial behavior, ADHD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, children's mental and behavioral health, depression, developmental disabilities, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, family relationships, gender identity, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, military and veteran support, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, phobias, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, psychosis and schizophrenia, sex and intimacy issues, sleep disorders, somatic symptom disorder, learning disorders, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming, trauma, and anxiety.
In my practice, I provide individual, family, and couples counseling. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
