For as long as I can remember, people have been coming up to me to tell me things. I remember going away with my wife before we were married and getting into a deep conversation with one of the guests on line at the hotel while she stepped away. When she came back, my wife asked how I knew the person and I told her that we just met at that moment. She asked how it was possible to be in such a deep, personal conversation in the time that she walked away and came back. I told her that it happened all the time. She wasn't jealous, it wasn't like that; the connection that I have with people just surprised her at the time. Many years later, she is used to it. More importantly, she is the one who encouraged me to go to school so that I could do it professionally. I am very much an extrovert and really enjoy people. I especially enjoy being a catalyst to change. In 2007, I became a Certified Life Coach and was able to work with people under that umbrella. Later I became a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and was able to work with individuals and families struggling with addiction. I went on to have two beautiful children and went back to get my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. It has been a long and fulfilling journey to become professionally licensed to work with individuals who struggle with mental health issues like anxiety, depression, OCD, and substance use disorders. I am eternally grateful to be able to do what I love and few things give me greater joy than helping others to achieve their goals.
