Getting to know Dr. Michael Meir
After I receive your request for the first therapy appointment, Alma will email you a link to fill out your health insurance information. Forms should be completed within 12 hours and usually take no more than 7 minutes to finish.
As soon as we receive your eligibility confirmation, we will schedule the appointment. The date you choose depends on the authorization.
Dr. Michael Meir, who holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and is affiliated with Universidad de Buenos Aires Facultad de Medicina, trains and leads workshops for couples, families, individuals, and governments. He is a TEDx speaker, a former dean of health sciences, and the author of four books. He focuses on couples and families with an integrative approach. If you are struggling or want to advance as a parent, in a relationship, or in life, he is an active listener and proactive therapist.

As soon as they answer with your eligibility we will schedule the appointment. So far the date you chose depends on the authorization.
INSURANCE COMPANIES SHOULD VERIFFY THE ELIGIBILITY BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT IS DETERMINED. Eligibility will be requested by Dr. Meir
In general I do short term treatments and very much goal oriented.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
After I received your request for the first appointment for therapy. Alma will email you a link to fill out your health insurance information.
Usually clients receive homework to be emailed to me before the following session.
Clients receive recommendations about books to read in order to complement the therapy (Not only the books I authored but also many others)

Initial session: $250 for 75 minutes
Ongoing session: $200-250 for 60 minutes
- Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
- Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
- Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront
