Hi there, I'm Michael! Hello, my name is Michael Patrick. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana and hold a Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. My approach to therapy is based on helping clients feel comfortable and build trust. Life is hard, and therapy can help individuals live healthier, more empowered lives. My approach I use a mix of theoretical approaches, with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral techniques. I believe that to create change, it’s important to understand what is being changed. My focus I have extensive experience with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. My passion is working with those facing anxiety. I am comfortable working with people from different walks of life, including teens in residential services, individuals involved with the Department of Child Services, and those on probation. My communication style I like sessions to feel calm and relaxed. I enjoy helping clients through tough moments and adjust my approach based on the situation and clients’ needs. My journey to mental healthcare I always wanted to work with people, and in college, I realized my passion was working directly with clients in therapy. I love walking alongside someone through tough situations, anxiety, or dark times. Helping others is what keeps me going. My goals for you I let clients tell me their goals. If they struggle to identify them, I suggest goals. I believe clients come to therapy to achieve specific goals, and I want them to feel heard. I identify desired goals early and stay focused on them throughout therapy.
