Psychotherapist
VT
Hi there, I'm Michaela! Hello, I'm Michaela! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about supporting Clients through the many challenges, triumphs and transitions of life in a way that feels safe and approachable. My approach My approach to therapy is Client centered, strengths based and solution focused. My aim is to always meet people where they are at and to use my background in Clinical Social Work to approach therapy with a well rounded lens that considers the many systems and environments we all live in. My focus My areas of focus include the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, LGBTQIA support, anger management, self esteem, body image, self harm, attachment issues, academic stress and family/peer relationships. If you or someone you love is experience any of the above or related issues, I'd love to help. I typically work with youth, teenagers and young adults who are new to therapy or who are looking for a therapeutic relationship that holds space for the self exploration that comes with the many transitions of youth through young adulthood. My communication style I communicate in the reply as I do in my personal life; with kindness, respect, humor and direction. When I am in a therapeutic relationship with someone I would hope they come to feel supported and challenged. It is my goal to foster an environment where my Clients can show up as their whole selves, speak openly and without a filter, enjoy moments of comedic relief and experience a dynamic that feels genuine. My goals for you I always partner with my Client when it comes to setting therapeutic goals. It is important to me that the goals we put in place are what the Client feels intrinsically motivated to work on. It is important to me that goals feel meaningful, productive and take into account where my Client is at in their therapeutic journey. Sometimes a goal is simply showing up each week, sometimes a goal is more about diving into childhood trauma.
