Michele is an individual and family therapist licensed in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Howard University and has more than 20 years of experience working as a clinical social worker with adults, teens, and families with children on issues of family conflict, trauma history, school performance problems, and adoption-related concerns. She has helped individuals, children, and adolescents with emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, attachment issues, grief, loss, and trauma. Michele has extensive experience with trauma therapy modalities. As an adoptive parent, she has worked many years with families in both pre- and post-adoption stages. Michele is sensitive to the specific needs of LGBT individuals and families. She is straightforward and deeply invested in improving life experiences for her clients. Michele encourages self-determined solutions by offering a safe space with strategies for working through difficult decisions and complex situations.
