Shelley (she/her), LMHC Licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Colorado Hello, I’m Shelley. I earned my Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in 2012 and have been independently licensed since 2014. Over the years, I’ve worked with both adults and adolescents in community mental health and private practice settings. My approach is rooted in feminist, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and harm reduction perspectives. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively with clients to create a safe, non-judgmental space where thoughts and feelings can be explored openly. I specialize in mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, and life transitions, with a focus on supporting individuals who have experienced spiritual, sexual, emotional, or physical trauma. I also enjoy guiding parents and caregivers through the challenges of their roles. In therapy, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), among other evidence-based practices, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my spouse, our teenager, our pets, family, and friends. We love playing board and card games or tackling home improvement projects.
