Hi there, I'm Michele! Hello! I’m Dr. Michele Day, a clinical social worker with a PhD in Social Work from the University of Missouri. I also hold a Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University. My specialties are personal growth, family therapy, and older adults. I have provided help in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, my clients most often have experienced depression, relationship issues, or difficult circumstances. My approach Client-centered theories guide my strength-based therapy. Adding cognitive behavioral approaches, like Dialectical Behavior Therapy, keeps us focused on your goals and helps measure progress. My practice is eclectic, drawing on many theories to create a unique plan for each individual. My focus I enjoy working with clients of any age (except young children, as I am less prepared to work with them). Living in a rural area, I’m glad to provide online services to improve access and address confidentiality issues common in rural mental health care. I am a generalist prepared for many conditions and have experience with children and families in the child welfare system. My communication style Building a professional relationship is key.
