Hi, I'm Michele Purvin. Life can be tough and unfair sometimes—especially when you’re just starting out and feel like you have no clue how to handle some of life’s complex challenges. Sometimes the pain of life is just too great, too overwhelming, and you feel completely alone and stuck with a problem. Or maybe you just need someone to listen and offer a different perspective. This is where I can help. I will treat you with respect and compassion and listen carefully with empathy to your concerns. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. Together, we will work to increase your awareness of your thoughts and feelings about a problem and explore those challenges in different, more manageable ways. Rather than using only one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of approaches tailored to what is most effective for you and your situation. I take a strength-based perspective, focusing on your strengths and how we can build on them to help you reach your potential. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) providing therapy services in Texas and Utah. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University and have been in private practice for over 10 years. As a Texas native, I grew up in a bi-cultural, tri-lingual Swiss German American household in the United States and Switzerland, learning early on to transcend boundaries in a rapidly changing world. I look forward to meeting you and discussing how I can best support you in reaching your goals and living your best life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
