I believe that in therapy that the most important thing is the therapeutic relationship that you develop. If you do not like or trust your therapist you will not open up and share your most sacred self with them. There are many therapists out there. Don’t be afraid to seek out several different ones until you find the one that speaks to you in a way that makes sense to your inner voice. I know that I am not that person for everyone. I am honest and direct. I’m not typically good at sugar coating things. I am not going to tell you what to do. I am going to ask you questions to help you come up with your own answers. I do not believe that there is value in telling you how to solve your life’s problems. I believe that life is a journey that you must explore on your own and I am here to help your find the answers that you need to find your own path. I believe that life is about the choices that we make. We cannot control the things that have happened to us, but we can control what we do in response to those things.
