Getting to know Michele Rutsey

I have 37 years of experience working with adolescents, individuals, and families in various settings, including the Child Welfare system, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Justice, school settings, and private practice settings. I believe it is my job as your therapist to walk with you on your healing journey. I believe in creating a safe place for each client to feel comfortable sharing the personal details of their lives. I strive to honor my client's wisdom of self and their experience while also building a relationship of trust and understanding. My area of concentration is working with teens and adults through life challenges. I utilize a variety of modalities, including Somatic EMDR, Brief Solution Focus, Mindfulness Interventions, Strength-Based Practice, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed care, to support my clients in achieving their goals.
