I am a therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience helping teens, adults, and families work through tough issues. I also have enough life experience to understand that life can be messy and situations are not always black and white. I enjoy helping individuals with anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, life transitions, grief, relationship issues, parenting support, family stress, identity issues, women's issues, and life stress.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is curious, open, direct, and supportive. My style is relaxed, informal, and non-judgmental which puts the client at ease to start building a therapeutic relationship. I utilize CBT, Narrative, Solution Focused, Family Systems, and Relational therapies.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the beginning of the therapeutic process, my primary goal is to build a relationship with my client. It is only at that point, when there is a trusting relationship that the openness will allow for the true work to begin. I want to not just treat the symptoms the client is experiencing, but rather the root cause. This building of a relationship will look like getting to know one another, sharing your history, and current situation that led you to counseling. This process occurs at a pace that feels comfortable to the client. Screening tools may be used when appropriate to assess anxiety and depression levels. I see my role as a coach/ partner and the client is the expert on their life and this process.
