Getting to know Michelle Bronster

Hello!! My name is Michelle Bronster (She/Her), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and over 10 years of experience treating a variety of issues, from daily stress to significant impairment resulting from mental health challenges. I have previously worked with incarcerated individuals, providing individual therapy as well as running Dialectical Behavior Therapy-based treatment groups. My approach I have an adaptive approach to therapy. As life goes on and treatment progresses, the client’s needs evolve and may benefit from different approaches. I believe in being non-judgmental, direct, and kind, and I also engage in gentle confrontation as needed. My focus Currently, I treat clients experiencing life changes, feeling overwhelmed or stressed, and dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. My communication style I foster open and honest communication while supporting the client’s experience. My journey to therapy I was raised in the field and have always enjoyed helping others. My goals for you I like to involve clients in the goal-setting process. My first session with you Our initial meeting is a general meet and greet with some information gathering to determine if we are a good fit and how we will move forward in treatment. I am open to answering any questions you may have.
