Hi there, I'm Michelle! My name is Michele Cotter, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor's degree from Salem State University. I work with clients of all ages statewide via telehealth. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed care to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach I use an integrated approach depending on the client. Not every theory fits everyone perfectly; the ability to shift perspectives allows a holistic approach to healing. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. My focus My style and approach fit all age groups dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life challenges. I also have training and experience in treating ADHD and Autism. I help clients improve emotional regulation and build skills to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook. My communication style My communication style is calm, caring, and personable. I want clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I believe in making all clients feel welcome, accepted, heard, valued, and important in the therapeutic process. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. Whether as a counselor, behavior specialist, school counselor, volunteer, or trusted friend, I have always been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves! My goals for you My approach to goal setting is about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together.
