Getting to know Michelle Eynon

Hi there, I'm Michelle! My name is Michelle Eynon, and I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for more than 20 years. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Northridge. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, and have extensive experience with teenagers in the public school system. My approach I tailor the therapeutic approach to each client’s unique personality and needs. The most common methods I use are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy. My focus Over 20 years, I have worked extensively with teenagers, parents, families, individual adults, and couples. Common issues include anxiety, depression, school avoidance, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship problems, and interpersonal conflict. My communication style Building trust and rapport is my most important role. I do this by actively listening, avoiding judgment, and treating everyone with respect. I am fairly laid-back and believe therapy should be a positive experience. My journey to therapy Though I have worked in other fields, I’ve always felt most fulfilled helping others. I have a lot of compassion. Making a good connection with clients and helping them gain insights and progress toward goals is very rewarding and feels like my true calling. My goals for you I work with each client to determine their goals, which often evolve. Sometimes the initial presenting problem is just a starting point. I regularly check in to evaluate goals, needs, and desired outcomes. My first session with you The first session is a great opportunity for me to get to know you.
