Her common approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and strength-based, but she is well equipped to provide the approach best fit for the individual client. ?When working with a client, knowledge is essential to being empowered and motivated for change. Connecting the mind and body through education is important in understanding the whole body approach to mental health and substance use recovery.? Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University at Lincoln Center. Additionally, she is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Michelle has two decades of experience working in the mental health field and works primarily with adult and senior populations. She has experience ranging from inpatient programs, group homes, intensive outpatient, and most recently individual and group therapy in the community health setting. ?I strive to meet clients where they are at regarding needs and direction of the therapeutic relationship.
