Michelle Fox, LPC

Psychotherapist
SC
I am a licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. Palmetto state born, raised, and educated. I am a proud Francis Marion College (now University) patriot, where I completed a Bachelor of Science. I earned my Master of Arts at the Myrtle Beach campus of Webster University, and I have an Honors of Divinity. I did work as a Ph. D. candidate at Walden University with a concentration in human sexuality. I have more than 30 years in the healing/helping profession. My faith tradition has a tremendous influence on my belief that Love is essential in a thriving community and that community's people. Let's work together to make ourselves the best versions of ourselves. Honor me by letting me be a part of your journey. My approach My approach to providing care is to create a comfortable safe space where through conversation we explore our life's journey, our goals/ aspirations, fears and strategies to develop a plan to become the person we desire to be with the level of mental wellness we desire. I help those in the counseling experience feel supported, respected, validated and in control. Therapy sessions are centered around the desires of the client. I use my education, experience and intuition to promote the introduction of options to reach goals, while the client decides what strategies best suit their life and functionality. Either on line or in the office the counseling session is a safe space where confidential conversations are free of judgment, stereotyping or social pressures. Participants are encouraged to explore coping skills and effective communication techniques that help them give language and oration to concepts that they can use to increase their circle of support, include others on their deeper level of coexisting, understand processing feelings and becoming promotors of their own mental wellness.
