My name is Michelle Mercado, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University. I understand that no two people are the same, so I tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of each client.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My treatment approach is open, genuine, and compassionate so you can feel comfortable exploring difficult issues. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, couples, and families, helping them find their strengths and abilities so they can live a fulfilling life. In sessions, I will provide a safe space to help you clarify what matters to you while listening deeply and most importantly, being nonjudgemental.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Michelle has made it so easy to address my feelings. She is great at reassuring me and giving advice with my struggles. It was very easy to bond with Michelle and to connect with her on a personal level about what I’ve been going through. She has also really helped change my mindset and I am beyond appreciative.
