Hi there, I'm Michelle! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor/Therapist (LPC) with 20 years of inpatient and outpatient experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each person, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive and Interpersonal Psychology, and Dynamic and Existential Therapy. I specialize in stress, depression, anxiety, addictive behaviors, and personality disorders, creating clear pathways to continual growth and relief from symptoms. My approach My therapeutic approach is based on proven methods focused on self-growth, empowerment, and strength, combining positive, interpersonal, and dynamic psychology. Depending on client goals, I also incorporate cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic techniques, providing insights, tools, and new skills to relieve symptoms while setting and accomplishing therapeutic goals for ongoing personal growth. My focus I work with a broad range of clients-from adolescents to adults, as well as couples and families. Much of my work centers on managing stress, depression, and anxiety, with additional expertise in addictive behaviors, personality disorders, and immediate symptom relief within individuals or relationship dynamics. My communication style My communication style is open, engaging, and trust-building. I work at the pace set by my clients, using gentle, slightly probing questions that encourage true self-discovery without pressure, while maintaining a structure that allows freedom to evolve, grow, and heal. My journey to mental healthcare I've dedicated the past 20 years to promoting the importance of mental health after earning my Master's degree in Professional Counseling and doctorate from Liberty University. Before that, I worked as a child and family advocate in a legal capacity, which led me to realize how much was left unaddressed within emotional capacity.
