Getting to know Michelle Miller

Your story matters. Your life has value. You are worth it. Seeking help through life's difficulties can be daunting. It can, at times, also be met with some disapproval by others who don't understand the position you are in or the struggles you face. I want to acknowledge your bravery in taking this step to prioritize your mental health. It isn't easy, but I can assure you it will be worth it. A little about me: I am passionate about helping others seek health and wholeness in their lives. I hold a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Southeastern University and currently practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana. In my 8 years of clinical experience, I have worked in multiple settings-including community-based mental health, in-home therapy for adults and children, and outpatient adult and pediatric therapy. I have experience with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, ASD, substance abuse, trauma, and more. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your personal comfort and emotional safety is so very important to me. I truly believe that the most important aspect of counseling is the therapeutic relationship. It’s my hope that our times together would be free of shame and judgement, and that you would have the freedom to express yourself and explore the issues that have brought you to this point. During the initial session, we will discuss what brings you to be seeking out therapy (present symptoms/struggles, past traumas, family dynamics, etc). From there, we will collaboratively discuss treatment plan goals and practical steps we will work on to help you achieve those goals. This may include simple homework assignments to be thinking about outside of therapy sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Michelle has helped me over come issues in my life currently and helped me create habits to deal with issues as they arise.
She cares about what she does & helps people. I appreciate her and all that she does to help people who need help just like him.
Michelle has been tremendously helpful in just the 5 sessions that we've had! She has helped me see my value and worth and has empowered me to stick up for myself when needed. She does a great job at pointing me back to God’s truth which is so important to me!
Michelle has been a life changer for my motherhood journey; she has helped me fill my tool belt with tools I will use for the rest of my life with my boys. She has helped me better understand my childhood trauma & the impact it has had on being a mom. She has helped me learn the meaning of boundaries and how to implement, while simultaneously teaching me how to love myself & more importantly, that it’s okay to do so. Being a mom herself, Michelle can relate to how it can be & she never judges. I am truly grateful to have her as my therapist. I highly recommend her to anyone struggling with anxiety, boundaries, self worth, & motherhood itself.
I've been working with Michelle for over a year and can say with absolute certainty that I would not be where I am today without her. She helped me work through major life issues and learn coping skills I wouldn't have mastered on my own. I'm so grateful for her.
This has been the best therapy experience so far. I feel like I wasn’t getting anywhere with my previous experiences through multiple different providers.
She's honestly the best. Not only does she listen but she gives good feedback on why I might be feeling a certain way. She understands me and a lot that I am going through. Overall she just makes me that I get the best care when I am talking to her.
Michelle has been a great therapist for me. She is always so understanding and she takes the time with me & holds the space for whatever I’m going through during our sessions. She remembers all the little details I’ve told her over the past 1.5 years or so & she genuinely cares and is so encouraging and uplifting. She is wonderful at what she does :)
Very kind and direct, lovely therapist!
Michelle does a great job of listening to my issues and helping me shape my mindset to make better decisions for my mental health. She asks questions to understand my perspective and learn more about my world, and she explains how my interactions with others have shaped my thought processes over time.
I’ve seen a few therapists before, but Michelle has shown me a kind of wisdom, acceptance and positive regard that I have never experienced with a therapist. I didn’t know it was possible to get such good therapy through telehealth but it’s my best experience I’ve ever had!
