What should a new client know about working with you?

What matters most to me in the therapy room is that you feel seen, heard, and valued—without judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and affirming. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I tailor our work together to meet your unique needs, goals, and cultural context. Whether you're processing grief, navigating a life transition, confronting intergenerational expectations, or trying to quiet an inner critic, my aim is to co-create a space where your truths can be explored safely and gently. I often work with individuals who feel deeply but struggle to express or prioritize their needs—especially those from marginalized or bicultural backgrounds. Together, we can untangle internal conflicts, strengthen your sense of self, and cultivate more satisfying relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together will begin with a foundational intake session where we explore your goals, personal history, and what brings you to therapy now. From there, we’ll set collaborative goals and begin the process of building insight, coping strategies, and emotional resilience. I draw from a variety of approaches depending on your needs—this may include identifying thought patterns (CBT), exploring values and acceptance (ACT), or developing emotional regulation skills (DBT). Sessions often include space for reflection, skill-building, and noticing patterns that show up in daily life or relationships. Above all, sessions are paced with care and respect for your readiness. I honor your autonomy, and you’ll never be pressured to go “deeper” than feels right for you.
