Life has a way of presenting challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about what comes next. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, trauma, stress, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to face it alone. I'm Michelle, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and aspiring counselors, providing a supportive, compassionate environment where healing and growth can happen at your own pace. I also provide clinical supervision for LPC Associates and counseling interns, helping future therapists develop confidence, clinical skills, and professional identity. I believe meaningful therapy begins with a genuine connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself—without fear of judgment or the pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that support lasting change. My approach combines warmth, authenticity, and evidence-based practices while recognizing that every person's story is unique. Therapy isn't about becoming someone different—it's about discovering the healthiest, most authentic version of yourself. At Perfectly Imperfect LLC, we believe healing happens through honest conversations, meaningful relationships, and practical tools that help you thrive in everyday life. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward greater peace, resilience, and confidence. Real Talk. For Real Life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and encouraging. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported while also helping you challenge the patterns that may be preventing you from living the life you want. I believe there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy. Every client has unique experiences, strengths, and goals, so I tailor treatment to meet your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and other therapeutic interventions based on what best supports your growth. Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, compassionate nature, and ability to help them feel comfortable discussing difficult topics. Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, my goal is to provide a space where healing feels possible and progress feels attainable.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is focused on getting to know you—your story, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll discuss your experiences, identify your strengths, and work together to establish meaningful goals that fit your needs. As we continue working together, therapy becomes a collaborative process. We'll explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences while developing practical skills that you can apply outside of our sessions. I believe therapy should provide both emotional support and real-life tools that help you navigate challenges with greater confidence. Throughout treatment, we'll regularly evaluate your progress, celebrate your growth, and adjust our approach as your needs evolve. My goal is for every session to leave you feeling supported, encouraged, and equipped with something meaningful you can carry into your everyday life.
