What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session, my priority is to create a comfortable and welcoming space where you can begin sharing your story at your own pace. Before we meet, I’ll make sure all necessary intake paperwork has been completed and returned so that we can use our time together effectively. We’ll start by reviewing your forms, discussing any questions you may have, and clarifying your goals for therapy. I’ll invite you to talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping to change or better understand, and any concerns you may have about the process. This session is also an opportunity for you to get a feel for my style and determine whether it’s a good fit for you. Together, we’ll explore what you need to feel supported, establish initial goals, and outline how we can work collaboratively moving forward. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and confident about the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
