I’m Michelle Solomos, LCMHCA (NC), and I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds as they navigate a wide range of life experiences and challenges. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients experiencing life transitions, relationship difficulties, emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression and anger, trauma, PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. My experience in outpatient therapy, residential mental health services, telehealth, and community-based care has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of the many factors that can influence our emotional well-being and overall quality of life. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and positive psychology to help clients better understand their thoughts and behaviors, develop healthier coping strategies, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, understood, and free from judgment. My goal is to help you gain clarity, recognize your strengths, work through obstacles, and build the confidence needed to move forward.
