Michelle Stern, NCC

Psychotherapist
NC
I am an ADHD-focused therapist who helps adults struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, emotional regulation, procrastination, disorganization, and difficulty following through. Many of my clients have spent years feeling frustrated with themselves or wondering why everyday tasks seem harder than they should. My approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to how the ADHD brain works. I use CBT, mindfulness, executive functioning strategies, EMDR, and collaborative talk therapy to help clients understand their patterns, reduce overwhelm, and develop realistic tools that fit their lives. Therapy is not about trying harder or forcing yourself into systems that do not work for you. It is about building self-understanding, confidence, and strategies that support lasting change. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling without pressure or judgment. My goal is to help clients move beyond shame and survival mode toward a more manageable, connected, and fulfilling life.
