Michelle Vaughn, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
My particular areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, trauma, and heartbreak. I work with people experiencing a “middle marriage crisis.” I help men and women modify addictive or self-destructive behaviors such as binge-eating, overdrinking, and resisting the urge to text, call, or social media “stalk” someone they know isn’t good for them. I specialize in the unique stressors of the ex-patriot life both psychotherapeutically and personally, having lived and worked abroad myself for many years. I also help parents navigate the profound emotional trauma that caring for their child with chronic or acute illness can bring. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Some people come to me for help utilizing and understanding the role of mindfulness and the concepts that the “law of attraction” can have in their lives to increase happiness and manifest their hopes and dreams. Whatever your wish is for entering therapy, you deserve a life that you love and a life that loves you back. I believe I can help you feel better and achieve your heart’s desires.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
