Hello! I'm Michon, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and psychotherapist. Having lived in Texas most of my life, I've had the privilege of experiencing the diverse and rich culture that makes this region so unique. This background has deeply influenced my approach to therapy, allowing me to connect with clients from various walks of life in a meaningful way. I offer an integrated combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). For those who wish to incorporate their faith into their healing journey, I also provide a spiritual approach. My goal is to create an atmosphere that fosters trust and safety, enabling true healing to take place. My professional experience is as broad and diverse as the state of Texas itself. I've had the honor of working with both military personnel and civilians living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Before becoming a therapist, I taught middle school for 12 years and was certified in Special Education, General Education, and Guidance Counseling. Currently, I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and more.
