What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and CBT-oriented, and I integrate Christian faith and spirituality when clients want to include it in their healing process. Together, we work on healthy boundaries, emotional regulation, assertive communication, and breaking unhealthy patterns—helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered. For teen girls, I focus on self-esteem, managing stress and anxiety, healthy peer and family relationships, and identity development, while partnering with parents when appropriate to strengthen family dynamics.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My typical process begins with an initial session focused on understanding the client’s concerns, history, strengths, and goals. I complete a thorough assessment and collaborate with the client to identify treatment priorities and create a personalized treatment plan. Sessions are goal-oriented and flexible, combining evidence-based approaches with supportive, trauma-informed care. I help clients build practical coping skills, increase insight, and address patterns that contribute to emotional distress. Progress is reviewed regularly, and treatment goals are adjusted as needed. I emphasize collaboration, safety, and cultural sensitivity, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward at their own pace.
