Getting to know Mildred Reese

I received my Masters in Social Work from Boston College in 2012 and am independently licensed in both Florida and Massachusetts. I have over a decade of experience in a variety of settings including psychiatric emergency and crisis, inpatient medical/surgical care, and community based organizations. I have experience working with folks navigating a range of concerns including life transitions, everyday stressors, grief/loss, new diagnosis and trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my 10+ years of experience, I have found that sometimes we know exactly why we are driven to begin therapy, and sometimes we are more unsure of those reasons. Regardless, I work with you to discover what it is you are looking for or trying to navigate in a meaningful way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in making therapy approachable for folks and creating an environment of mutual respect and warmth that allows for open communication. Introductory sessions are a great way for us to have an opportunity to get to know each other and determine whether we will be a good fit.
