Getting to know Mildred Sellars
Hello!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida with over 20 years of experience. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. I believe that people are meant to live life to its fullest and not just go through the motions. I firmly practice mindfulness and gratitude daily because we all have something to be grateful for!
Life can be challenging, and the pandemic has made things even harder. At times, all the pressure and stress can feel overwhelming. I am here to help you get through this difficult time. Whether it's grief, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, job performance, or finding your purpose in life, we can figure things out together. You don't have to do this alone!
I use a person-centered approach so my clients can take the lead with their concerns and focus on what they want to address during sessions.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can expect an open and honest communication style and format. In our first session I will do some information gathering and we will develop a treatment plan. Our subsequent sessions will explore the issues and how they are affecting your life. You will come away from sessions with tools to address your issues and concerns. Many of my clients have a greater insight into themselves after our sessions.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
