Psychotherapist
5151 Hampstead High St Ste 200, Montgomery, AL
Hello, and welcome! I’m Arlette. Originally from California, I’ve proudly called Alabama home for the past seven years. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Early Childhood Education and another in Clinical Mental Health Counseling—which provide a unique foundation for understanding both learning and emotional development. I enjoy working with parents managing challenging behaviors, teens facing school-related difficulties, and adults navigating workplace stress, life transitions, and personal growth. My approach focuses on understanding who you are at your core and helping you create meaningful, lasting change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Reality Therapy, while also exploring the values and beliefs that guide your life. My path to counseling began while teaching middle school. I realized that many struggles with learning and behavior were rooted in emotional, social, or neurological challenges rather than a lack of ability. That experience sparked a passion for helping people find balance, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential. Outside of counseling, I enjoy learning about different cultures, spending time near the water, and listening to motivational speakers. A unique part of my story is that I lived in the Philippines during high school, an experience that broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the diverse experiences people bring to therapy. I look forward to helping you discover your strengths, navigate challenges, and create a more fulfilling life.
