I am particularly well suited to working with clients amid life transitions, such as career changes, marriage and divorce, having or launching children, recovery from addiction, aging, and loss, as well as couples in distressed relationships. I aim to be fully present for clients, offering curiosity, careful listening, non-judgment, and authenticity. My approach is collaborative, honoring clients’ beliefs, emotions, and experiences as valid and true and recognizing them as the ultimate authority on the changes they seek. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University, which informs my compassionate and client-centered practice.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Having experienced significant losses, challenges, and growth in my own life, I became a therapist after a career in the law and volunteer work in hospice and palliative care, where I discovered a calling to connect with people through providing a therapeutic presence. I look forward to working with you as a witness, ally, co-author, and catalyst.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My focus in session is the experience of the present moment, including the thoughts, feelings, and defenses that arise. Through exploration, growing awareness, and acceptance of what is, in dialog with a curious and compassionate "other," we can change our relationship to it, shift our patterns, question our assumptions, and cultivate agency.
