Getting to know Mimi Lugo
Hello! Welcome. Briefly, I am a military Veteran, Christian, bilingual Counselor, and former School Counselor. I hold an MEd in Counseling from Tarleton State University. My varied education and experiences have helped me appreciate diversity, be open-minded, and prepared me to help others. I work primarily with adults, couples, and adolescents.
What should a new client know about working with you?
All sessions are virtual only; no in-person sessions are available. After our intake session, and including it, the primary focus will be to build a rapport between us. This relationship will look like a trusting, professional one- rather than social one. Our contact will be limited to the counseling sessions. Please note it is not possible to guarantee any specific results regarding your counseling goals but together we will work to ensure the best possible results.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
