Hi there. I'm Mindy Rochlin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. I work with adults and specialize in drug and alcohol addiction, including those who are dually diagnosed with a mental health disorder, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My approach is client-centered, helping those who want to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. My approach to therapy focuses on the individual needs of each client, always client-centered and grounded in CBT. This allows me to help clients understand the disease of addiction and guide them toward healing and sobriety. I have found my style and approach are a good fit for adults struggling with addiction. Anxiety, depression, and other disorders can be co-occurring and often lead individuals to self-medicate. Drug and alcohol addiction frequently stigmatizes people, making them feel ashamed of their use. I make sure my clients know addiction does not define who they are. My communication style is accommodating and personable. I treat clients with respect, understanding they may have reservations about seeking help. I am direct to help them understand that addiction can be a deadly disease. I decided to become an addiction therapist after seeing how easily individuals can succumb to addiction. I knew then it was who I was meant to be, and I have never looked back. I have always enjoyed talking to people, listening, and understanding them. It feels natural for me to support those in need and help them through difficult times. I truly enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.
