Getting to know Minerva Romano Correa

Hi there, I'm Minerva! Hello! I am a therapist who would love to work with you to create your own personal space—a space where you feel safe to express your needs, process your emotions, and allow for empowerment and transformation. I work in partnership with you as a guide toward your goals. My approach I see therapy as a collaborative process unique to each person. I like to empower individuals to identify and work toward their goals. I use a variety of modalities and philosophies to tailor my approach depending on the person. My strengths include EMDR, Person-Centered therapy, and Trauma Processing. My focus I view each person I work with as their own universe. It takes courage to dive within and explore, and ideally, clients come in willing to embark on this journey. My communication style I believe the time in session is a sacred space for you. This is your time, and I tune in closely to your needs. My journey to therapy My path to becoming a therapist began with a desire to alleviate suffering. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. My goals for you I work with clients to identify and pursue their own goals, offering guidance when needed. Clients are encouraged to become aware of their progress by periodically reviewing symptoms and goals. When treating trauma, progress is measured more frequently through scales and symptom tracking. My first session with you Our first session will be an opportunity to get to know each other. There will be more questions than usual during this session to build a clear understanding of what you want to work toward and to gather relevant history to tailor your treatment.
