What should a new client know about working with you?

I do my best work with kids, teens, and young adults. There’s something incredibly meaningful about helping a person feel understood - and just as important. I don’t see the individuals as having problem - I see them as part of a family system that’s doing its best, even when things feel stuck, tense, or overwhelming.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When I sit with an individual, I’m paying attention not just to what they say, but to what might be harder to put into words - the worries, the pressure, the quiet questions about who they are and where they fit. I want them to feel like they don’t have to perform or get it “right” with me. They can be silly, guarded, talkative, or unsure. We’ll figure things out together. My role isn’t to judge or take sides - it’s to help you make sense of what’s going on underneath the behaviors, and to find ways of responding that feel more connected and effective.
