Getting to know Miranda Linden

I was born and raised in San Diego, where my father ran a surfboard company. During my childhood, surfers from all over the world stayed in our home, and I had the opportunity to learn about many cultures and cuisines. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in hospitality, where I honed my ability to read people and help them get what they needed—skills that prepared me well for the work I do today. What should a new client know about working with you?

I support adults, teens, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relational challenges, anxiety, grief, and trauma. I have a strong passion for working with couples and LGBTQ+ clients, providing a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space. Ideal couples are those ready to engage deeply in therapy to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create more secure, fulfilling connections. I also work with individuals and groups navigating multiple or non-traditional relationships, helping them develop effective communication, mutual understanding, and emotional resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address both immediate challenges and deeper emotional patterns rooted in attachment experiences. My approach is deeply person-centered and experiential, fostering a compassionate, safe environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. Through creative and interactive techniques, I support clients in exploring past wounds, increasing emotional awareness, and strengthening relationships. I collaborate closely with clients to build skills, enhance insight, and promote healing, all while encouraging authentic connection and lasting positive growth.
