Are you a mom looking to cope with the stress and anxiety of motherhood, end generational trauma cycles, and break negative thought patterns? I help women break cycles. I specialize in talk therapy and EMDR Therapy to heal trauma, reduce symptoms, and shift perspectives. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, which has equipped me with the skills to support women through these challenges. Women who have worked with me report that they are able to think more clearly, "zoom out" on their lives to see things from a new perspective, and make decisions aligned with their values. They respond in healthy ways to everyday life stressors and feel they are becoming their own definition of their “best selves.” Parenthood (current or future) can bring to light many anxieties, traumas, and insecurities. What if I'm not good enough? What if I mess this up? What if my child inherits my trauma? By seeking therapy, you are choosing to "do the work" so that your children do not have to. That is a powerful and brave step. I hope to support that journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in talk therapy and EMDR Therapy to heal trauma, reduce symptoms, and shift perspectives. I provide person-centered psychotherapy. We will start where you are each session to address current stressors, past traumas, and future goals. We will utilize a variety of tools including: mindfulness, CBT, MI, and narrative therapy to address your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first appointment (60 minutes), we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will discuss your history, concerns, and treatment options. We will also have the opportunity to get to know each other and determine if I am the right therapist for you. Follow-up appointments may be weekly or bi-weekly (50-60 minutes). In these appointments, we "start where you are". We will discuss current stressors, coping skills, past traumas, and future goals. If you are interested in EMDR therapy we will explore whether this treatment option is appropriate for you.
