My work is collaborative and grounded in a clear formulation of your history and current functioning. I pay close attention to developmental and trauma histories because trauma commonly underlies patterns of avoidance, emotional dysregulation, intrusive memories, hypervigilance, negative beliefs about oneself, and difficulties with trust and intimacy. Assessment typically includes a careful trauma history, symptom screening, and risk evaluation, and treatment is tailored to your readiness—drawing from trauma-focused CBT, cognitive processing where appropriate, alongside skills training in emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness to support durable change.
