Mirna Beltran, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hola! My name is Mirna, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southern California with over 10 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and my Bachelor’s from California State University, Los Angeles. I specialize in Trauma-Informed Care and work with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges related to unresolved trauma. My approach I collaborate with people on their healing journey by listening, being empathetic, remaining objective, and using cognitive behavioral and EMDR approaches to reflect back patterns contributing to unhappiness. My focus With a Trauma-Informed Care approach, I recognize that people experience many types of trauma—from childhood to recent events—that impact daily life. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all solution; clients need an individualized or eclectic approach to reach their treatment goals. My communication style My style is warm and approachable, with a touch of humor. It’s easier to connect when we start light, as therapy can bring intense feelings. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable sharing about their lives. My journey to therapy I pursued Social Work to give back as high school Social Workers helped me. As I advanced, I realized therapy’s importance for all of us—as a check-in or longer-term process to work through trauma. Seeing its benefits in my life and clients’, I continue Clinical Social Work to activate a ripple effect of happiness in others and ourselves. My goals for you Clients are experts on their lives and often know what they want to work on. I offer guidance to narrow down the goal to one achievable during our time together.
