Getting to know Misha Pelligreen

Hello, I'm Misha. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri with an MA in Counseling from Webster University in Saint Louis and a BA in Psychology, I bring over twenty years of experience to our sessions. My journey in mental health has taken me through private practice, treatment and health centers, and even Saint Louis University Hospital, where I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients. Additionally, I'm a Registered Nurse with a background in neurology and psychology, which enriches my understanding of the mind-body connection in therapy. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health, integrating cognitive therapy with humanistic, person-centered techniques. This means that in our sessions, we'll not only address your thoughts and behaviors but also consider your overall well-being. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can work through your issues and achieve your personal goals. My areas of specialization include helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, grief, and abuse issues. I also have extensive experience with addiction, whether it be alcohol, drugs, or other substances. Additionally, I work with individuals dealing with the impacts of traumatic brain injuries, including associated depression. No matter your background or culture, I am here to support you, and I even speak some Spanish to better connect with Spanish-speaking clients. Outside of my professional life, I cherish spending time with my family. I find joy in reading, walking, hiking, and swimming, which help me stay grounded and rejuvenated. If you're ready to take the next step towards improving your mental health, I'm here to help. Let's work together to navigate your challenges and find a path to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
