“I feel very grateful to have found Dr. Mitch. Having undergone therapy with various mental health professionals in the past, I recognize the results-oriented, effective treatment I am receiving from Dr. Mitch presently. I have several deep-rooted issues which Dr. Mitch has skillfully unveiled, identified and diagnosed. Even more importantly, he has helped me develop an action plan with specific, detailed steps to finally overcome my issues and improve my life. With him, it’s not just “talk therapy” where the patient talks and the therapist merely asks, “And how do you feel about that?” without offering any further feedback or guidance. Dr. Mitch really listens and is fully engaged. He asks insightful, relevant and probing questions and offers kind but firm advice. He challenges me when needed. His professionalism, intelligence, compassion and genuine care are always in full display. I feel very safe with him; he has earned my trust and respect. I highly recommend him!”

“Working with Mitch has truly changed my life. I came to therapy burdened by years of emotional trauma, confusion, and self-doubt. From the very first session, Mitch made me feel safe, seen, and understood. He’s helped me untangle painful memories, organize overwhelming thoughts, and rebuild my confidence from the ground up. My mood, clarity, and self-esteem have improved more than I ever imagined. I feel stronger, more grounded, and more like myself than I’ve felt in years. If you’re looking for a therapist who is kind, insightful, and truly effective—Mitch is the one to choose. I’m deeply grateful for him.”

Getting to know Dr. Mitchell Rosenwald

I invite clients to build stronger, happier versions of themselves. Drawing on my PhD and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, I use a variety of models including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Having worked with hundreds of clients, I bring compassion and a focus on self-empowerment to every therapy relationship.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The therapy relationship begins with trust. I ask clients to see me as their copilot as well as one of their biggest cheerleaders. Together, as we build trust, my clients feel more comfortable and empowered to accomplish their goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients will begin by updating me on their past week with any successes or setbacks. This typically turns into discussing their progress on a particular therapy goal. I invite clients to share what they feel comfortable with and in their own time.
