Getting to know Moira Casalino
I am a dance/movement psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute. I specialize in helping people feel safe in their bodies through embodied inner child work. This approach is especially helpful for those experiencing anxiety who often feel panicked and may not fully understand why. I also focus on fostering healthy communication between couples. If you are looking to communicate and understand each other better, I can provide tangible tools and support self-awareness.
I cultivate a safe space with ease by bringing lightness into the session. Therapy can be anxiety-provoking, and I believe it is important for clients to feel at ease and comfortable with their therapist.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Therapy shouldn't add to anxiety which is whyI have a gentle yet transparent approach to treatment. I am here to help you feel at ease while on your healing journey. My sessions looks like typical talk therapy, but I include the body in the conversation.
I find therapy to be spiritual as the more we get to know and love ourselves, the more we can know and love others. I do believe change starts within and I am happy to support you on your journey.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I will call you for a phone consultation to make sure we are a good fit! Next I will ask you to fill out paper work on my HIPPA compliant platform, Simple Practice. You will create a client profile for secure messaging, session reminders and payment. The first payment will be charged 24 hours before the session.
