Psychotherapist
NY
*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* I am a therapist who works from a relational, strengths-based, and holistic mind-body approach. I believe that healing happens in connection and that each person already carries wisdom, resilience, and the capacity for growth within them. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood, so we can explore what brings you to therapy with curiosity and care rather than judgment. My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. I draw from psychodynamic and family systems frameworks to help uncover deeper patterns shaped by past experiences and relationships, while also incorporating evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT to support emotional regulation and coping in the present. I also integrate somatic practices to help you reconnect with your body and nervous system, especially when stress, anxiety, or trauma feel overwhelming. I believe that meaningful change happens when insight, emotional awareness, and practical tools come together. I am deeply attuned to how relationships-both past and present-shape our emotional world and sense of self. I also hold a strong awareness of how systemic and cultural factors impact mental health, identity, and access to care. My work is grounded in a social justice lens, and I strive to honor each client’s lived experience within the larger contexts that influence their well-being. Therapy with me is collaborative and empowering; we move at your pace, building trust and self-understanding along the way. Mollie Rayner has a Masters in Social Work. Mollie Rayner is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), #127920 (NY). Supervised by Dahlia Mayerson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), #095945.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I see therapy as a space to build self-trust and deepen your relationship with yourself. Together, we might explore long-standing patterns, navigate life transitions, or develop new ways of relating to your emotions, boundaries, and needs. My hope is that our work supports you in feeling more regulated, grounded, and aligned—both internally and in your relationships with others.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Outside of my clinical work, I find grounding and connection through simple, meaningful rituals. I enjoy hiking and taking long, meditative walks through Prospect Park, where I can slow down and reconnect with my body and surroundings. I also love cooking for family and friends, which feels like a powerful way to nurture connection, creativity, and care. These practices inform how I show up as a therapist—present, intentional, and deeply invested in fostering authentic connection.
